Chadd Harbold (Director)
Chadd Harbold is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. In 2007, he co-founded a production company, Last Pictures, along with Dan Berk, Bryan Gaynor and Robert Olsen. His first three short films under this banner were romantic dramas, but in 2008, he switched gears and took on a script Bryan Gaynor had sitting on his shelf. “Asshole,” was a dark comedy that differed in tone from his previous work, but contained a fascinating and dynamic character. The film is debuting at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. He is currently in development on his first feature film, an ensemble drama about two couples’ sexual entanglements, entitled Hard Times in New York Town. Watch Chadd's director reel here.
Bryan Gaynor (Writer/Producer)
Bryan is a force to be reckoned with, working as a director, editor, and producer of countless short films, music videos, and commercials. A founding member of Last Pictures, Bryan is also an actor and comedian. His screenplay, “Asshole,” which he originally penned when he was only 18-years-old, hilariously demonstrates his fresh humor and keen insight into the human condition.
Dan Berk (Producer)
Dan Berk is a New York-based independent film producer with an interest in short form content like music videos, commercials and branded content. In early 2007 he co-founded Last Pictures (www.last-pictures.com), a production company, under whose banner he produces short form branded content for web and TV-deployment. His client list includes influencers in fashion, culture and music, and in its short life, Last Pictures has established a strong foothold in the NYC film world.
Marybeth Minthorn (Producer)
An immense interest in film & television production coupled with industry experience makes MARY BETH MINTHORN an informed and reliable member of our team. She spent this last year at Palisades Pictures, an independent film marketing company, and now works for a small business management and accounting company specializing in the independent film industry. Having worked on a number of Last Pictures productions including "Disappearing Doritos," "Don’t Think Twice,” and their most recent short film, "Happenstance," Mary Beth has proven her efficiency, dedication, and professional conduct time and again.
Matt Mitchell (Director of Photography)
Director of Photography Matt Mitchell, was born and raised in Queens NY until the age of seven, when his family moved to CT. A recent graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts Matt majored in Cinematography. In only a few years he has shot over 25 films, music videos, and commercials, and has won two awards for directing as well. In 2007 Matt shot a 35mm short in the Czech Republic at the acclaimed FAMU International film school in Prague. He is currently a freelance DP, and resides in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Robert Olsen (Gaffer)
Robert Olsen grew up right outside the city limits of Boston. He was artistically inclined from a young age. Upon arriving in New York City to study theatre at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, he fell in love with the filmmaking process and co-founded Last Pictures, a film production company under whose banner he has since directed all of his work. Robert has a number of feature films in development and plans on continuing his career both in front of and behind the camera.
